Protecting Children Through Education
One Circle is proud to present the 11th Annual Circle of Hope on Friday, May 8, 2009.
The Circle of Hope is an education symposium presenting various speakers and multi-media presentations designed to enlighten and inform community members on their role and responsibility in keeping children safe and raising awareness regarding the complex issue and intolerable rate of child abuse and neglect.
Please join us as we commemorate child advocacy and the organizations dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk children. This 11th anniversary event will include speakers, interpretive music and dance performances, educational materials and unique “One Circle” products for purchase as well as an opportunity to connect with active child advocates in the community.
Coordinated by author and professor of child development, Dr. Kathleen Van Antwerp, this year’s Circle of Hope will offer profound information that all humans need to know and learn to apply. “The national incidence of children harmed or injured by abuse or neglect has more than doubled in the last two decades. We must respond now to this growing threat to the most vulnerable members of our society,” said Dr. Kathleen Van Antwerp.

ONE CIRCLE is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness regarding the complex and intolerable issue of child abuse.
We protect children through education. We educate communities, schools, professionals, law enforcement, college students, parents, and children. We believe education leads to awareness, awareness motivates people to action, and action creates change.
We are leading a basic human rights movement for abused children and by joining our circle today, you are part of this movement.
It takes one person to listen to a child.
It takes one person to provide hope.
It takes one person to create change.
